Here we are almost into February and I haven't blogged in nearly 2 months! I was so ill in December, resulting in me having to play catch up in the last few days before Christmas to actually make the big day happen. I'd caught the dreaded flu that's been quite an epidemic here.
Thankfully my craft room was finished so I could make use of my sewing machine. I was able to make three cute Owl cushions for various members of my family. It was lovely to have the room to use my sewing machine - the pink owl is mine. Bought to sit in my room and keep me company 😉
The owl cushions are remote control holders. The wings are pockets and I've created pockets in the waistband area too.
My 3 yr old granddaughter loved the one I made for her house so much, she claimed it as hers and it sleeps on her bed!
Next was a wallet to hold a gift card for my son. He thought it was real until I pointed out it was made of card
Then it was time to make the night scene box frames.
I actually still have one of these to do. I was running out of time by now so opted to work on my sister's box frame after Christmas as I'm not seeing her until sometime in February. As it's February tomorrow I had better make hers this weekend.
So what's on my workdesk today?
Absolutely nothing! .... I had a tidy up yesterday .... however ....
..... I can't say the same for my sewing table! Still sorting through some things!!

Well it’s lovely to see you, i’m So sorry you’ve been so poorly, glad you’re emerging. It sure has been a nasty dose, and as you say, an epidemic really. Nice to have a sewing desk separate from the paper stuff desk, and I like that one is really tidy and one isn’t so much, it’s entirely natural if you ask me! Your Christmas gifts were gorgeous Karen, you worked really hard!
ReplyDeleteEvening Karen. I love those owl cushions and fully understand why your grand daughter claimed theirs as her own! As for those night scenes - oh wow - they are stunning. However did you make them?
ReplyDeleteTrust you are now fully recovered from the flu!
Take care. God bless.
