Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop: Tic Tac Toe

Hi Crafters,

This is my first ever Tic Tac Toe challenge! I'm excited to be participating with other Stampin Up! demonstrators from across the world. If you've just hopped in from Cindy then welcome. Wasn't her project amazing? 😁 Now you're here I hope you enjoy your little visit before hopping off to Sandra

So here's the board. Basically, you just choose a line across, down or diagonal, just like playing noughts & crosses! Those three elements chosen feature on your card. Now which way shall I go .....

Once I'd chosen my line - across the top CHRISTMAS, EMBOSSING, CIRCLE, I experimented with a few different layouts before settling on the one below. I just love the wintery-ness (is that even a word?) about it. The trees have been glittered to add an element of frost.

I used Thick Whisper White (140490) as my card base measuring 11 1/2" x 5 3/4", 

scored at 5 3/4" to create a square card.

The Balmy Blue (147007) layer is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"

The stamped layer is on Shimmery White (121717) card measuring 5" x 5"

The stamp sets I used are:

I punched a circle from a post-it note to use as a mask for the moon. The video below uses the same measurements, but I used a bigger punch for the moon.

Stamp n Hop October - Christmas

Hello Crafters!

Welcome to another blog hop with the fab Stamp n Hop team  of bloggers. We are a group of Stampin Up demonstrators who get together each month to showcase what we do. I am always inspired by everyones makes, especially Vicky who you've just hopped from. If you have started with me, please do go on to see what everyone else has made this month. This month we are getting a head start on our Autumn and Christmas makes. I've been making cards and 3D projects for a few weeks using the Santa's Workshop suite, but this time I am going to use the Winter Woods stamp set to make an AUTUMN card. I am always sad this time of year as the nights start to draw in and its dark when I get up, but thankfully nature steps in to add colour when the trees start to turn. 

For my card I pulled out lots of ink pads and after some experimenting ended up with this

I used sponge daubers to build up the colour in the trees, then sponged Soft Suede onto the tree trunks. It was a lot easier using my Stamperatus as it meant I could just keep stamping the same image until I was happy with the colours. 

I finished the card off with some Burlap Ribbon.

Colours used: 
Inks: Tranquil Tide; Mossy Meadow; Lemon Lime Twist; Pear Pizzazz; Pumpkin Pie; Crushed Curry; Real Red
Card: Crumb Cake; Pumpkin Pie; Whisper White 

Stamp sets: Winter Woods and Painted Glass

And just for those who were expecting a CHRISTMAS theme ...

Mr UPS finally delivered my parcel after rescheduling so I was able to use my new Snow Is Glistening stamp set which will be available soon .

I love all things snowflake so to find a Christmas tree made entirely of snowflakes was exciting! More playing in future blogs 😉

Ink & Share Scrapbook Hop - Fall

Hi Crafters,

Welcome to the Ink & Share Scrapbook blog hop! We are a group of crafters from acreoss the world who are passionate about keeping memories and we do this in the form of scrapbooking. This month we are focusing on Autumn (or Fall as it's known in the USA!). I dont normally feature autumn in my crafting but this month not only have I made an autumn card, but also now a 12x12 scrapbook page 😊

I wanted to capture the myriad of colours at this time of year so opted for a base sheet of Natures Poem designer series paper. The beautiful skeleton leaves create the perfect background. 

If you turn the paper over, you have a vivid orange type design, I cut rectangles and sqyares from a second sheet. Two measuring 6" x 4 1/4" and three measuring 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"

I then cut Crushed Curry card to layer onto the shapes. Two @ 5 3/4" x 4" and three @ 3" x 3"

Next I stamped the letters to make "AUTUMN" using Pumpkin Pie ink on Crushed Curry card, then die cut them.

I used Sunshine Wishes dies and Celebrate You Thinlits dies to cut the words "Love" and "You" in Copper glimmer paper from the Autumn/Winter catalogue. I also die cut the heart from Sunshine Wishes.

Finally I sponged Flirty Flamingo ink onto a piece of vellum, followed by Gorgeous Grape and Bermuda Bay before die cutting Dragonfly wings from Deailed Dragonfly Thinlits dies. I then cut the black Dragonfly from the same set and glued the coloured wings behind. I have only glued his tail to the page for now so I can slide a photo underneath.

A card for Dad

Hi Crafters,

Today I've been making some male cards and wanted to feature this one as I really enjoyed making it!



I CASED a card made by a fellow stamper called Fiona. To CASE means to Copy And Selectively Edit. I changed the shape of mine to be a square and altered some of the background.

You'll need the following to make this card
Card: 11" x 5 1/2", scored at 5 1/2" (14cm x 28cm, scored at 14cm)
Layer 1: card 5 1/4" x 5 1/4" (13.5cm x 13.5cm)
Layer 2: DSP 3 1/4" x 5", cut at an angle, (8.5cm x 13cm)
